Refilled

I have been working on my family tree so that the kiddos have a record of their peeps when they get older.

Most of the records are US based and well we know how that works... Anyway, finding info on my Mom's famils is easy but trying to find it for my Father's is near impossible. I think I will try to contact some family on that side but there aren't many avenues to explore with that. Anyway, I will find something.

In other news:
Lately it seems like I can never say the right thing. Like I don't know how to console or comfort someone anymore. Even someone who is a close friend. I feel like what I say doesn't matter. I had a friend who was hurting recently and I just said nothing and then when I did decide to say something, I thought about what I said and thought, "Man that was stupid." I really really need to try to get over that and try harder to connect with people I care about.

In addition:
I said two things in my dream last night that made me wake up laughing. I think I laughed at how dumb they sounded... So I was in a store with a blond girl. I knew who she was but I don't know who she was now, you know what I mean? Anyway, she went to a salon and dyed her hair brown. She ended up going to some party and was the hit of the party and when I saw her later at the store she came up to me and thanked me for the help in deciding if she should dye her hair or not. I was like, yeh, no prob. Then she proceeded to tell me every fun detail of her night and said, "and another thing, I was the hottest girl there." I said, "Cool! Well, you know that brunette is the new blond." My mom looked at me and said, "What?" and I said "Yeh, you know how they use to say all that stuff about how blonds have more fun, well now they say that about brunettes." And my mom laughed and then I said, "Yeh, just like being brown is the new white."As soon as I said that line, I woke up laughing at my dorkiness.... I have never been known to make profound sociological statements or claimed to be a fashionista.

Moreover:
I have a prayer partner at church. Someone picked my name and is praying for me throughout the Lenten Season. It's just nice to have someone else in your corner.

I actually think that's all I have to say.
