The Eye of the Hurricane

A peek inside a storm in girl form...

I'm beginning to feel the urge to blog again... I don't know why. All of a sudden I find out I'm going to be unemployed and I'm ready to blog. I don't know what I'm going to blog about though.

What's happened since I last blogged. Well, I've had kids, I've had 2 different jobs and I've become a preacher at my church. Taking pastoral classes and what not, it's been a crazy couple of years. I also have a really nice home life now. More settled in than ever. Yes, this is a good thing.

My life is no longer the eye of the hurricane. It's just peaceful and satisfying.

It's the Great Pumpkin!

So Tuesday we went to meet my girl JC and her grrrrrrls at the Dell'Osso Farms Pumpkin Patch and Corn Maze!

We had a great time! The kids had a great time and everyone was exhausted afterward. We played in the corn maze. Thanks to Little J and The Husb for finding our way through the maze. We only got 2 stamps though. It was kinda warm yesterday. Then we took a ride on the tractor tram and took a hay ride too. I have never taken a hayride. There was actual hay on the trailer that was being pulled by a tractor! It was fun!

Lemme see, we also let the kids in the petting zoo. Oh my GAH! They loved it! The goats were taller than they were. There were a couple of goats that were little and Jacob went around claiming them. "MY GOAT! MY GOAT!" So cute! They also got to feed the animals. They also got their hands scrubbed like never before!

There was a little playground there so they played with that and then we looked for pumpkins but got distracted by the hay pyramid and the hay bale maze, as well as the hay bale tunnel. YAY!

It was a great day! I'm glad I have a friend like JC and her daughters to share stuff like that with!

La La La Doot Doot Doot

So this weekend was rather busy. It was good but it went by way too fast and now we're super tired still and Jake my teacake has a runny nose again. I tell you, people just keep your sick kids at home because my kids will find your kids and get infected with whatever germ they're sportin'. Okay...

So Saturday we hung out and we went to the ILs house like we usually do. It was a kinda relaxing time but not really. It's rarely ever completely relaxing. The FIL had gone to the Cal game. He got home about 430pm or so. Then we all just hung some more, the kids rode their bikes. They look too cute!

Sunday was a pretty good (but extremely long and tiring) day. We woke up and got ready to go to the Twins Club Annual Picnic. OH MY GAH! So many multiples. I even saw some quints! Thank St. Jude we didn't have quints! I think that I would have died. Anyway, we had a decent time. The husb saw and chatted with a guy that he hadn't seen in about 15 years. It was the brother of his friend that died. How awkward might that be!? He and his wife are very very nice and they live in Pleasanton. We are going to start hanging out with them which will be nice because we really need friends our age who have kids, although their twins are almost 5. I also met a pair of 2 year old twins that were a little too much for anyone to handle, including their parents who had just had another set of twins 3 months ago... One with yellow frosting all over his face and the other with red frosting in almost the same spots. Their names you ask: Waylon and Willie.

I'm seriously considering closing up the factory.

You're My Wonderwall...

Anyway, yesterday we went to the Alameda County Fair in Pleasanton (P-Town). UGH! It is definitely a sociological study. Anyway... we hung out for a little bit and even at 630pm it was still way too hot so we went back to the ILs house and gave the kids a bath and then ate pizza and came home... the kids were exhausted from the heat and running around which is a good thing I think... I slept upstairs most of the night and the wind was a crazy old man because he was throwing things around last night at 0200 hours. I tell you!

Today might be a chill day but I'm not quite sure. I am probably going to finish up the chicken stew I made on Saturday. The kids loved it so maybe that will be their lunch today...

The 2nd birthday party is coming up. I don't have a theme and I don't know if I should order invites or just do evite. I would like to order paper invites though. I have to look for some. Who knows... Last years I thought were super cute. Okay that's all...

My Hair is Black and My Eyes are Green But Maria's Not My Name

I woke up this morning pretty tired still.

Last nights sleep was NOT restful at all. Jake kept waking up which has me going up and down the stairs since they sleep downstairs and I am upstairs. See if I was still co-sleeping I would have been right there and not too much sleep would have been lost but since I decided it was time for them to be independent instead of codependent sleepers, I get screwed like this ever so often.

FINALLY at like 230am I decided I would sleep with the kids and get at least 5 hours of sleep-a-roo.

So here is Mama Zombie, waiting for nap time...

Needless to say, I made a fresh pot of coffee today.
